Whether you use Battering Ram or not, Iver's primary role in the party is that of a heavy hitter. Plan Iver's movements and he'll prove to be one of your most valuable party members. Battering Ram is an amazing ability for lining up bad guys, and can allow Iver to push enemies into the range of other units. Equally good at tanking and smashing foes, Iver is perhaps most useful for controlling the battlefield. The one-armed giant is back for another round, and Iver is just as useful now as he was in The Banner Saga. Mend (optional, restores an ally's Armor).Overwatch (rank 6, unit automatically attacks any moving enemies within her range until her next turn).Puncture (unit gains additional damage for target's missing Armor, so long as the unit does not move before attacking).
It is not possible for Rook to die during The Banner Saga 2. Rook's ability to attack close up and at a range make him good regardless of your build, however. If, on the flip side, you primarily use Rook for Mark Prey, you may want to opt for boosting his Willpower and giving him items to boost his movement range instead. He's also better at breaking Armor than most archers, and pumping Break is equally advisable. Rook's one of the stronger archers you'll get, so maxing out his Strength early is advisable. Though perhaps not the best choice for a frontline fighter, since neither his Armor nor his Strength are spectacularly high, Rook's Mark Prey ability gives him a great reason to join melee combatants and order everyone to attack a single target simultaneously.
Ivar rejoins your party and fights with you but you have to be a tactical genius to win this battle on normal. Thats where i switched to easy difficulty because its ridicoulesly hard. If you remove the bodies instead, egil will die (not sure who dies if hes not in your party any more) The first battle isnt hard so i recommend fighting it to collect some extra renown. You skip it by tending to the wounded, nothing bad will happen. Visiting the great hall unlocks the option to fight on the bridge. That battle is unavoidable ivar seems to always loose his arm.Īfter that youre presented with a choice, to either destroy the bridge or leave.
